Patti Battani

Patti Battani is an Iowa Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer, singer, performer who began her vocal career at age 16 and continued for 35+.years.  At 19, she won the Iowa State Talent Search and was awarded a car as the Grand prize.  Patti was "Miss Des Moines," 2nd runner-up in the "Miss Iowa", was named "Miss Champagne Music of Iowa", appeared with Lawrence Welk, and was awarded a generous music scholarships enabling her to continue her college education. Patti won the "International Christian Artist Competition" in Estes, Colorado,  which scored her a Gospel record deal.  Patti toured with her record, "His Song" (on YouTube), before settling down to have her third child. Patti continued performing in musical theatre, weddings,  funerals, Dance-Band, Opera, Jazz, and freelance studio work, but loves the American Musical best. Currently, Patti teaches private lessons, is a school volunteer, and co-directs musical theatre shows at the elementary level.

Ron Battani

Ron Battani is a band director, drummer, Iowa Jazz Hall of Famer, and the co-founder for the Iowa Jazz Championships. He graduated from Woodward High School (Iowa) in 1963 and from Drake University with a BME in 1967 and MME in 1973. He performed as a set drummer playing dances, county and state fair shows, and circus shows with the Keith Killinger band. They toured Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Missouri, South Dakota, Texas, Louisiana and Canada, Karl Killinger dance band, Ralph Zarnow show and dance band in Des Moines, Iowa.)
Ron was a band director of 44 years and is now retired. He was the band director at Guthrie Center Schools 1967-70, Des Moines Hoover High School 1970-85, Anderson High School (Texas) 1985-2000, Del Valle Schools (Texas) 2000-2002, Jazz Band Director at Iowa State University 1976-77, Burkholder Middle School and Mannion Middle School in Henderson, Nevada 2002-2011.
He was the set drummer with several dance bands in Austin, Texas.  He performed in the percussion sections of Des Moines Municipal Band, Des Moines Symphony Orchestra, Henderson Symphony Orchestra, Nevada Chamber Orchestra and the Desert Winds Wind Ensemble, Las Vegas (performing at the Mid West Band and Orchestra Convention in Chicago, Illinois).

Tara Battani

Tara is an award winning stage actress, singer, and writer. She has spent the better part of her life performing on stage and in front of the camera, and she's won numerous stage awards and nominations for her performances. She's been in dozens of commercials, short films, and movies, including Dazed and Confused. In addition, she has found a love for teaching and teaches theatre arts to middle schoolers and is the director of the middle school productions at Village Christian Schools in Los Angeles.


Nick Battani

Nick Battani is a Los Angeles based drummer, singer, songwriter, producer, and mixer.  In high school, he played the drum set in jazz band and marching snare as the drumline leader.  He placed 12th in State on drum set in the Austin All City Jazz Band and Grammy Band and won a cymbals and sticks sponsorship from Zildjian.

Nick played in several bands in Los Angeles and then joined the UK band, Caffeine, with whom he played the Giant Stadium's Bamboozle Festival and toured the UK several times.  He then played for Living Dead Lights, signed a worldwide record deal and toured Europe several times.

Nick produced and released an EP with Andrew Tester, Meant For Fire, and Adult Day Care; and is currently producing an LP with Versus Humanity. He also co-wrote two songs his sister released, Tricia Battani.
